Better language selection

The AI model prompt contains an instruction to reply to the user in the same language as the query. However, sometimes that first question is not really a question, but for example a "Hallo". This is not enough for the model, as it could be German, Dutch or probably some other language.

Your project has a setting for the language however, which is often the same language as that of your user. The instruction in the prompt is now updated and tells the model to use the project's language when in doubt.

Your dashboard now also contains an alert when no documents have been added as content yet. This is an important first step, because without content the model doesn't know anything about your specific business.

Improved citations

Previously when chatting, all sources that matched the query would be returned as source - even if they weren't used by the AI model to answer the question. Good news, that is now no longer the case and the cited sources now only list the actual used sources by the model.

Introducing Manual Q&A

  • You can now finetune your bot's answers by manually adding Q&A pairs. This can be useful to help patch holes in your documents or when you don't want to add the answer to publicly available documents. However, it is strongly advices to put as much content into documents and not in manual Q&As as public documents might help your users even without using chat, email, etc.
  • You can create a Q&A from scratch or by clicking the Turn into Q&A button on any question in your conversations.
  • Fixed a bug in the Content page panels. After you would submit an url (or sitemap or upload) the tabs would stop working until clicked for a second time.

The new and improved Deflekt.ai just launched ✨

Thanks you so much for your patience. I just flipped the switch for the new and improved version of Deflekt.ai. It's now ready for you to give it a try. You are part of the original group of users, so I value your feedback very much. Good or bad, let me know what you think.

Here is what's new:

  • Much improved built-in bot, trained on your documents (however, support for external AI providers has been dropped)
  • Add webpages, PDFs and Word files by url, in a batch, by sitemap or by uploading
  • Deflect questions coming in by email, web chat, Slack chat or Teams chat
  • Your customers and/or coworkers can request human support with the click of one button
  • Monitor conversations, star the ones that need attention and filter the ones requesting further support
  • Get an email notification when someone requests further support with a transcript of the conversation
  • Support for multiple projects to allow multiple brands / products / languages, managed from 1 account

And this is just the beginning. I'm ready to gather your feedback and further improve the product.
